Protest against the new law banning “non-traditional sexual orientation propaganda” in Bulgarian schools

Today, President Rumen Radev signed the new law banning “non-traditional sexual orientation propaganda” in Bulgarian schools, despite strong opposition from European institutions, NGOs, and activists. The controversial changes, initiated by the “Vazrazhdane” party, jeopardize the inclusion of LGBTQ+ individuals in the educational sector.

❌We stand with the protesters who gathered this evening in front of the Presidency and oppose this law. 🏳️‍🌈✊

Through our Erasmus + project ELIS, we are committed to fostering inclusion and developing tools and resources to support parents and teachers of LGBTQ+ children. 👩‍🏫🌻Our goal is to create a healthy and supportive environment for all, in line with the EU’s dedication to equality and non-discrimination. ❣️

Together, we can build a society where everyone feels safe and valued. 🌍❤️
