After months of deep listening, honest dialogue, and bold collaboration — the ELIS – Empowering Educators and Families for Lgbtiq+ Inclusive Support project is coming to a close this month. And what a journey it has been!
Together with our incredible partners, we’ve:
Created the first cross-national guidelines for teachers on LGBTIQ+ inclusion Produced accessible, stigma-free materials for parents to support their children with love and confidence Piloted workshops in Iceland with real teachers, real students — and real impact Grown stronger as organisations, allies, and educators ready to lead with care
Most importantly, we’ve heard from LGBTIQ+ youth, their families and educators — and we’ve responded.To all the partners, facilitators, parents, and teachers who brought their knowledge, empathy, and commitment: Thank you. You’ve made schools a braver space.
